These last 16 weeks have changed me and saved me. I have learnt so much about myself that I never knew. I've found strength and determination, I've been disciplined, guided and have maintained consistency, and most of all I've been proud of myself throughout the whole damn journey. "This last 8 weeks have completely changed my mindset and have started a healthy routine/journey that I'll be able to continue.

I grew up in a fit and healthy family we were always outside and mum and dad always played sport so naturally so did we. Mum always cooked good healthy meals. I worked my teens and early 20s in a local clothes store and always fit nicely into the clothes. I never felt the pressure to lose weight or anything like that we were always happy and promoted healthy images, this is despite being in an industry known for promoting an unhealthy image.

Then I moved out of home and became a nurse.. I love being a nurse, it is my absolute passion, being able to help people when they can't help themselves. But these last 4 years I developed an incredibly unhealthy version of myself. Food was comfort and control. It was a cheeseburger and nugget meal as stress relief after a late shift.
